I’m a writer living in the San Francisco Bay Area.  In my spare time, I cook, eat, feed my friends and family, and then write about it.

Over the years, I’ve had to learn how to live at a strange kind of crossroads, where food, health, and body image collide. Along the way, I’ve discovered that eating well and being healthy goes far beyond the chilly formalities of modern medicine.  It’s not just about calories, or pounds on a scale, or numbers on a lab sheet.  And it’s most certainly not about deprivation.

It’s about the snap of an asparagus stem, the rising scent of cumin seeds in a skillet, the silky richness of a perfectly cooked egg yolk.  It’s about a pinch of this, a dash of that, and a generous helping of creativity and fun.  It’s about sharing great meals with the ones you love.  It’s about nourishing your body, and everything it supports.

This is my little food blog, with a few extra seasonings.  So come on into my kitchen–I promise something tasty!

  4. I’ve been battling PCOS since 2005 and am still learning what foods help and which ones don’t. Food can be healing, if we let it.
